At Liberty Mortgage, trust has always been the foundation of our relationships with our clients.  Because you trust us with your financial and personal information, we are committed to respect your privacy and safeguard that information. 

CONSUMER PRIVACY: OUR PLEDGE TO YOU!

Protecting your privacy is important to Liberty Mortgage.  We want our customers to understand what nonpublic personal information we collect and how we use it. 

“Nonpublic Personal Information” is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a mortgage to you.

1. Why We Collect Your Information

We gather nonpublic information personal information about you and your accounts so we can (1), deliver a mortgage to you that fits your need and (2), know who you are and thereby prevent unauthorized access to your information.

2. Confidentiality and Security

We restrict access to your information only to those in our company who work on your mortgage request.  Also, our employees sign a privacy disclosure as part of their hiring, prohibiting them from talking about clients on the outside.

3. What Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of nonpublic information about you.
a) Information about your identity, such as your name, address and Social Security Number.
b) Information about your credit.
c) Information about your assets, such as bank statements, 401K’s, etc.

 

4. What Information We Disclose

We require companies to which we disclose nonpublic personal information about you to maintain its confidentiality, subject to your choices about personal credit information and direct marketing, as described in Sections 5 and 6.
A.  We may disclose all of the information we collect, as described in Section 3, to our “Financial Partners”, companies that perform services on our behalf.

B.
We also are permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to affiliates  and “nonaffiliated third parties” in certain circumstances.  For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to (1) companies to assist us in setting up your loan and servicing it, (2) to government entities in response to subpoenas, and (3) to credit bureaus.  

C.
  We do not share medical information about you with our affiliates.

5. How To Reduce Direct Marketing Solicitations.

Here are 2 other ways to reduce your mail and  telephone solicitations from other parties.

A.  Credit Reporting Agencies

If you would like to stop credit reporting agencies from disclosing your information to companies that want to offer you credit or other products, call the following toll-free number and follow the instructions on the recorded message: 1-888-567-8688.   

B.  Direct Marketing Association

The Direct Marketing Association maintains 2 nationwide lists that its members must check before conducting telemarketing or direct mail solicitations.  If you are on one of the two lists, DMA members  must exclude you from their solicitations.  To be placed on DMA’s lists, you must mail your name, address and Social Security number to the lists below.

6. Closed or Inactive Accounts

We will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices described in this notice even after your mortgage is sold.
